    Edited for readability
"I'm growing my stuff in 2 big pots. All 8 plants under two 400 watt HID lights. I'm going to grow them until they're 2 ft before going into the flowering stage. I've got a lot of CFL's for under-lighting and a lot of room. Is an 8 inch pot ok for a 4 ft plant?"

I'm not a soil grower, but most of them will probably tell you that is a bit small. You'll probably want at least a 10"-12" pot. Good luck!

Sorry about the editing. I'm in a mood today. :smokin:

I've grown lots of 6-foot sativas in 8" clay pots (I didn't know any better, not advisable) ... the larger the pot, the better the yield, plus more efficient watering and feeding ... I now use #5 pots (typically called 5-gallon) ... you 'may' hear comments that you should start in small pots, and transplant several times into slightly larger pots each time, rather than going to a big one ... FALSE, another urban myth that doesn't hold up ... (outdoor plants would have TOO MUCH growing room ?? I don't think so ) ... good luck with your grow ... :smokin:

The earth is a 286,153,093,015,965,000,000,000 gallon pot. (Based on Wiki's specs for the volume of the earth, and that could be off by a few hundred million gallons.)
