Why won't anything get me high?

Alright, I have no idea if this has ever happened before, but I've looked it up without hearing about it. I smoked dank about 2 months ago, roughly 3 bowls, that was my first time. So, two nights ago, my freind hooked me up with good dank, and I'm one of those pussies thats afraid of lung damage, so I first made tea by soaking the stems like my freind said. After I drank it, I waited about ten minutes, and decided "fuck this im smoking" so I did, a lot, like 3 buds worth. Then after that, nothing happend, at all, so I just ate the shit raw, about a bud's worth. Still nothing, then I looked online, and read that cooking in some kind of oils or fats will make it work, so I cooked my biggest bud in a pizza, and ate the whole thing in two bites. Then I immediatly took olive oil and baked anothe buds worth on a piece of bread. I only got a very small effect, but I'm pretty sure it was only from me being tired at 4:30am, and probally just placebo shit.

me, personally would stay the fuck away from drugs mate,
even hash, its an addiction just like any other,

ive been addicted to all forms of drugs, kicked each one of them
but something inside me, will fook let go of my cannabis cravings. lol

just my opinion, listen to what some other peeps have to say, problies totally
different to what i have to say, but my comments come from
personal experiance.

Okay, first of all, it's a fact that some people simply don't get high their first time, or even their first few times. This is usually due to faulty consumption methods, which is what seems to be your problem.

Now, you tried tea, which isn't a very good idea, considering that THC is not soluble in water. Also, you used the stems, which simply do not have much THC in them at all.

Eating weed raw also will not get you high, as the THC and other cannibinoids must be activated with heat, much hotter than your body temperature. Now, you CAN cook cannabis and get high as fuck, but it needs to be done right. I'm afraid your pizza didn't have enough fat or oil in it, or you didn't cook it at the correct temperature. Read our Recipes section for information on how to make cannabutter or firecrackers (which I recommend).

You need to get high from smoking, though, for your first high. It's milder and you will feel it very soon after exhaling. I would say you should use a simple pipe for this; if you can't get ahold of one, stick a pencil through an apple and use that. Soda cans work as well, though there are some health concerns. Just light it, inhale deeply, in your lungs, hold it for a sec, then let it out slowly. You'll know when you've done it right.

Good luck! I hope you don't let these first few bad experiences turn you off from this incredible plant that we all love.

The only people who become literally addicted to cannabis are those that are too weak, depressed, or foolish to realize that they're abusing the plant, and that it's NOT THAT HARD TO STOP!!

Yeah, thanks for the response...I have a little bit left and I'm debating weather of not to smoke it. But I DID smoke it two nights ago like I said, I inhaled and held it for almost 30 seconds once, swallowed, and breathed in sharply, everything my freind, who was getting stoned right next to me off the same shit, said to do. I don't know, I'm going to try one more time next weekend at my freinds house, I absolutly cannot smoke here.

Sounds to me like you got ripped off mate. Also I wouldn't worry about lung damage if I were you. THC gives a protective affect towards your lungs (look it up).

Just try it a few more times. If you don't get high, or don't like the feeling, then, hey, maybe it's not for you. It isn't for everyone, honestly. Well, what I meant was I INHALED the smoke, and then swallowed nothing, just to hold it in. I was POSITIVE that I was doing everything right...I just wanna try this once, it's making me more determened haha! Thanks for the adivce though.

Well, shit, maybe it's your cure..and I'd say it's not a horrible thing, considering weed may have helped you get off the nasty shit.
