Here's sort of a more scientific approach; really more food for thought than an actual solution:

THC is one of quite a few cannabinoids in marijuana. One other one, called cannabidiol, actually counteracts the effects of THC. While marijuana farmers who grow for the buds try to increase THC production while decreasing Cannabidiol, industrial hemp growers try to reduce THC and get as much cannabidiol as possible.

That said, it would stand to reason that smoking hemp rope would bring you down.

Would it be a noticeable amount? I have no idea. However, it works in theory.

I've found, practically speaking, a nice long walk helps bring me down. I also try to think about the aspects of my high that are inward (magnified movement, sensitivity to noise) and those that are manifested outwardly; i.e., how much of it is in my head, and what parts could others tell just by looking at me?
