If you are worried about mold on your buds you can put them in the oven till they hit 140 degrees F that is the pasturization point, or you can make honey oil. the butane method will kill anything that is there and honey oil is a great smoke anyway.

Just don't overheat them to 374F as that is the temp that THC starts thermal breakdown.

WASH YOUR JARS before reusing. (pour boiling water in them after washing)

That should give you some peace of mind.

Okay if that is the nugs that supposably have mold on them, I looked at every pic and just see bomb ass nugs and beleive me. I have seen some moldy ass weed. I would say your good to go :thumbsup:

This gives you an idea of what mold/mildew looks like on the leaves. It can look somewhat like crystals, but they look more milky and cloudy under a microscope and wont be golf balls on tees.

nice info...can anyone else help me figure out if i have moldy buds?? can mold also appear purple or deep purple/black? my buds are not furry or soft(crumbly) theyre actually dense nugs with visible resin heads.. but the deep purple blackish on some concerns me, btw this isnt a+ stuff its just mids and somewhat brown definately not lime green.. but i need to know if it looks like mold because my lungs are super sensitve and ...yea..fuck that.. any help will be appreciated.. ill try to get pics asap

Having seen moldy buds before it doesn't look like mold from the pics you posted.....it does look like some very nice weed though, first thing I noticed was all the trics...looking good.

Like mentioned mold will feel like cotton and be 'powedery' as well, and most of the time it will 'rot' that part of the bud/leaf material making it feal 'mushy.'

If it doesn't resemble mold in those ways then I wouldn't worry about it too much, even after never seeing mold I knew what it was the 'first' time after seeing it, pretty evident. Just make sure to cure at least 3 weeks opening the jars once a day for a few minutes for the first week of curing to prevent mold formation, after that leave the jars shut for a few weeks....proper curing makes a world of difference. sorry about the quality thats the best i can do atm... but can anyone determine if that darkness in the first 2 pics is mold? or can anyone see the resin heads im talking about? smokeable??

BTW this was sold under the name of "the Purps" but its obviously not AAA .. if i cant smoke this i always have my Sour D. :stoned:

Just add some water to a bit of the bud and see if it grows more white! If not then your cool!

Old thread but, if you think you have white mold, perform this test. Take a "moldy" bud and gently flick it with your finger. If you see a puff of white powder then it is mold.
