Growing on my hotel balcony :) (pictures)

    Welcome and thanks for reading.

Im a college student living in Waikiki, Hawaii. Recently, about 3 weeks ago, I planted a few seeds I had left from an amazing bag of Maui'Wowie, out on my hotel balcony. About 6 plants sprouted and are doing quite well actualy. They get a good 9 or more hours of pure sunlight every day and i try to water them on a regular basis. I was wondering if i could get any extra tips as to maybe get them to produce buds asap, and or keep them short.

Thanks for any input and enjoy the pictures

One thing to know, you need only one plant per pot. Having two will cause the roots to go all out of whack and may just fuck up your entire crop later. I would suggest getting them into seperate pots before they begin to really start devolping their roots. NOW, lol
As well as soil, looks like mulch to me, nothing prime, but will probably work

Wow - they look pretty healthy to me. Nice job. DEFINATELY seperate the plants out into seperate pots.

Never heard of using mulch before for soil - it might work. Keep an eye on your pH and drainage - two most common problems with soils, although I doubt drainage will be a problem with mulch.

Marijuana will start to bud when the amount of daylight starts to get shorter - a sign autumn is coming. That's really the only thing that will force it to bud. When growing indoors, growers usually use a 18/6 light cycle (18 light, 6 dark), and then when they want it to bloom, they switch the light cycle to 12/12. Not entirely sure how it's going to work since you planted them in November, but then again that is the tropics - I've heard some places (few) can grow crop almost year round, if not at least two growing seasons per year.

    Good luck.

I have been told that many outdoor growers plant fall/winter crops around Dec 1, so you might be a tad early, but hopefully you'll be fine.

Dunno if leaving it on your hotel balcony (you LIVE in a hotel??) is so good, who knows who will be watching. Of course, you wont have to worry just yet, as the plants are small now. If they get big, it may become more difficult (and your neighbors might notice the smell)....

    Happy growing !

keep the plants in first two and get rid of plants in 3rd and 4th fast, any with those balls get rid of fast, since its outside you wont have all seeds, but some.

I see an open male flower there.. which means pollen has been released which thusly means your female bud will have seeds...

Males DO NOT produce nug, it is the female - the Catalyst (spelt?) of the female plant sticks out a white hair, and if even 1 pollen touches it, it will turn into a seed..

If NO pollen has touched it, the catalyst swells with THC and Resin Glands, which is what you want for a smoke....

So get rid of that male, get it OUT of the house so no more can damage your crop.. Unless you WANT a bunch of seeds.

P.S. you know it's a male when it sprouts little balls... See how the female just has a bunch of white hairs?

calyx, humored sanity, and if u get rid of it fast you will have soom seeds for future grows and some bud. And yes, either git rid of it or put it in a place with no airflow to the female.
