    Newbie first grow

This is my first post and first grow log. I have been reading the forums for a couple weeks and finally decided to post my grow log. I've been growing it for 1 month 11 days, it was originally under 2x 40 watt 48" Cool whites. I've since moved it into a cabinet with two 18" 60 watt outputs, two 100 watt warm CFLS and two 60 watt cool CFLs. I think I had the lights to close so i did some remodeling and added Mylar this morning, Gave the plant plenty of space. Need to add ventilation any ideas i'd surely appreciate, I was thinking of running 2 120 mm computer fans on the bottom for intake and two 120 mm fans up top for exhaust. I'm used Safer brand Organic insectiside w/ sea weed extract. Any comments/suggestions welcome.

just save urself some money and put a couple fans for exhaust and have a passive intake.. it works perfect this way...
    just my opinion though ...

That's my next step, I just added a small desk fan in the far left corner to blow on the plant. I've also started letting the doors open while i'm home to let it breathe more. I'm going to need something to mask the smell, i was thinking either an air purifier or a carbon scrubber. I'm still doing reading on all this and haven't decided yet.

In my ventures I've also added a small seedling area that I will post pics of when I get home.

u really dont need a fan for intake, just an exhaust will doo

    look 4 light leaks too

wish i had some mylar, all i have is reflectix but im scared its will insulate my growroom 2 much and make it way hott!

get some ventilation, im surprised you made it so far with no ventalation! since you dont have any CO2

It was out in the open for a while, i have to say the mylar is really just emergency blankets. With the CFLs it works in a basement, because the outside temp of the metal cab is about 50-60, and the inside is 84ish, I try to go there as much as possible and keep the air flow going. I'm thinking of putting a computer fan, although my friend works at a HVAC/plumbing, you think i should take that route, i'm pretty sure he could get me a good price on any fans for that kind of stuff. You think that's necessary or should one or two 120mm fans do it?

i think im getting way to technical but i have made a small a/c system that i made for a project in one of automotive HVAC class...i just made a small a/c that instead of using the engine to spin the compressor, i used an electrical motor that i could plug into the wall outlet...it blew cold air in an instant...really an a/c is really simple so im thinking about making one with spare junk parts so i don tknow

i think growing in a fridge would be cool instant cooler temps!

That'd be pretty nice, wish i would have gotten the one they had at a public auction, it had a plexiglass front, wouldn't do much for dark periods though

Yes, I was thinking about getting a 70 watt HPS, i was looking at your log, how much does it really put out, I understand that you can go up to 150 in small cabs, but I just don't want to trap all the heat in, will 2 120 mm fans work at the top for exhaust, with 2 80 mm fans at the bottom for intake (I really need to step up on ventilation :-D)
