Good hash is made from the strongest part of the marijuana plant. It is filtered through a very dense screen so that only the pure crystals can pass through. These crystals are compressed to make hash. You need several ounces of good marijuana to produce a couple of grams of good hash. That's why it is so expensive. The quality of the hash all comes from the quality of the buds it was made with and how finely it is filtered or sifted.

I'm pretty sure but not exactly positive but in places like afganistan(sp) where there is higher elevation when you grow cannabis it will secrete a resin that will help protect itself from the strong sunlight. That resin is one type of hash correct? I heard stories where people run through the fields and collect the hash. Is this true?

The resin the cannabis plant produces are the trichomes. And yes, you can just run through fields of weed plants and scrape it off, roll it into a ball and there you go.

There is a long-standing legend of a tradition, possibly true, of young women running naked through the marijuana fields getting resin all over themselves, which is scraped off to make hash. Of course, you'd get very stoned from doing this.

Most hash isn't made from buds however like most people have stated. Its made when plants are harvested. All the leaves and trimmings are collected after you've chopped and manicured the buds. All these trimmings are put in a food processor/coffe grinder. Then they pass the ground trimmings over screens to collect all the resin glands.

I have not seen any hash, good or mediocre, for many years in New York.

We used to get great stuff, including Kashmiri, Nepalese and Tibetian. The Red and Blonde Lebanese types were very good, but nowhere near as strong as the aforementioned types.

i have smoked some very good hash includeing most of the above, but apart from some water hash a few weeks ago have not seen any good hash in the uk 4 about 15 yrs, the hash has gone down hill, suppliers have got greedy and all the hash i see these days is shit,which is y i only bother with bud now, but if u guys can get top hash i envy u as i have been smokin 26 yrs now and the proper hash seems extinct anyone in the uk who says they get top grade hash regully is very lucky or most likely bullshitting

i can find good hash in the uk occasionally. whenever someone that i know has a big crop ready

So I just made some pot brownies, and after i filtered the oil from the leftover weed, I got this black/brown powdery stuff. I think its hash, or if its just some kind of byproduct waste of cooking the weed in oil. I'm pretty sure its hash, but then again, Im not a seasoned smoker. help please? :dance:
