It would cool the smoke good, that's without a doubt. But will it filter out the THC?

It makes sense, but I agree - I'm not sure I'd risk the exposure to the hydrogen peroxide over the exposure to the byproducts of the cannabis smoke.

And yes, the stuff at the drug store is like 3%, it's mostly water, so it probably wouldn't hurt you to try it once just to report how it effects the smoke.

For the record I don't have a bong either but I am interested to see the results.

This could be a great moment in stoner science.

Problem:
Many stoners use bongs to filter and cool their smoke with water. The problem is that the conditions to do those things are polar opposites.

One can use cold water to better cool their smoke, but they give up the ability to filter out harmful toxins. Alternatively, they can use room temperature or heated water to increase filtration but they must sacrifice a smooth hit.

Hypothetical solution:

Replacing bong water with Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

Hydrogen peroxide is sold at all drug and grocery stores diluted at 3-5% as an antiseptic, mouthwash, and hair bleach. It costs a few dollars USD.

Since Hydrogen peroxide is more reactive than water my theory is that even super cooled (it has a very low freeze-point) it would still filter out a majority of toxins.

Iâ??m dying to test out my hypothesis but I donâ??t have access to a bong right now.

So here is your mission:

Go out and get some Hydrogen peroxide and use it to filter your smoke and then tell me about it. I want to hear about its use at room temp. and after itâ??s been in the freezer.

Do it for me, do it for yourselves, do it for SCIENCE!!!

I am not suggesting people use pure hydrogen peroxide. I donâ??t even know where one might buy some.

Perhaps a two chamber bong? But no, peroxide in the bong won't hurt you, so long as you don't drink it. Good luck finding pure peroxide. Even at 30% it can be used both in the liquid bombs they were worried about a month ago and to make MDP2P (immediate precurssor to X) from safrole.
