I shit you not this has been done. Up in Canada, I don't know where, they have a boat sail to int'l waters. It is a cruise ship and you pay $150 for a 1-day trip and sample a small amount of different strains and free alcohol. I can find it if I search hard on Somethingawful but I know this has bheen achieved.

I was in a headshop near my house that I had never been to yesterday, and I picked up a nice little pipe and the guy told me about this event they were holding.

Apparently it's gonna be a competition for growers on a boat cruise. For $125 (if you buy a ticket in advance) you get 7 grams worth of samples of the weed that competing and bubble hash, as well as a buffet and 7 alcoholic drinks. Apparently Tommy Chong and Jacky The Jokeman (don't know him, but I think hes on the Howard Stern radio show) are gonna be there as well as a few bands. And there will be give aways as well.

YES
There is no law (or enforcement) on drug use in international waters. The problem is that such a ship would be unable to dock or sail in a prohibitionist territory.
Also, a legal source of cannabis would have to be secured.
Even more troublesome would be the fact that no prohibitionist nation would grant the cruise company a business license. No bank based in a prohibitionist nation would be able to grant a loan either.
From my perspective it appears the entire thing would have to be Netherlands based.
Not a bad idea though if there are any “budding” entrepreneurs.

Wouldn't it be hard to keep a cannabis cruise ship from sinking? I mean, weed gets wet fast, and it'd be hard to construct a working motor out of nug

You know...
I don't know the rules, but here's an idea:
if a ship is registered in a country that sells weed legally,
and the ship picks up passengers from that country, doesn't stop at any international ports, and drops of passengers in the same country,
isn't that domestic shipping and wouldn't that be legal?
Just wondering.
I think it's a great idea for some little island nation that wants tourist business. The fools are at the bottom of it all.

you could make it from hemp.. but yeh, that would be fuckin great, just a ferry that goes out of international waters, for a while, fire hazards would be a high risk tho, a bunch of half asleep stoners laying around with lit joints.... lol
