So in a totally hypothetical world let's say a guy was to want to grow a little bit of "tomatos" in his basement.... Lets say he had some wasted space under his stair case and the area was closed in by a small hidden door. The area would be 38" deep by 5' wide and 52" tall but because of the steps looses like 8" every foot going from the left to the right. Let's just say this guy lin ed the walls with the back side of the tin foil and the roof as well.
Let us also imagine a area for seedlings in the lowest area and a bank of flors on each step going up and 3 of the odor eating cfls (ordered but haven't arived yet... In this dream)
Are tyou all still with me on this?

Next we punch a hole through the concrete wall on the tall side the size of a dryer vent leading into the other room (also under the same staircase) where it used to be a closet we have a (dark room) where the tomatos can grow to 5' and out of this room we have a fan sucking into a dryer vent tube going to the sewer stack.

I figure a guy could have what about 4-6 plants finishing every little while and it's just a sort of assemby line process.
My question is what kind of light do I need for the end in such a small space? The dark room is 3' x 4'
