I second that. My main concern is water. Most of the light will come from the top and reflect off the sides. I wouldn't put the extra work into it. Especially not with mylar. It will rip and get dirty, then you will have to move all of your plants just to take it up. Go some other route...like thick plastic, visqueen like GK said, or something easier to work with.
