Weaver has had one of his best seasons, but still, I remember his days as a Yankee where he was either on fire or ice cold. He's still too inconsistent for my liking.

Haha, and yes, Suppan ceases to amaze me. He's pitched well a few more times than I've expected. And that "blip" on the radar will certainly be more than that if Carpenter blows a game in the World Series. The entire world is watching.

That spectacular catch by Chavez, I thought that might just kill the Cardinals; that catch was simply one for the ages. They'll replay that one in postseason highlight reels forever. And tied going into the 9th inning! I was so tense watching the game (I'm a Cards fan), that I couldn't sit down, just walked around pacing. And then the unlikeliest of heroes (Mendoza-line-hitting Molina) coming through with that two run shot in the top of the 9th. And then Rating: 5

this is actually one of his worst seasons if not his absolute worst, these postseason games have been some of the oenly good games hes had all year.
i am not calling weaver consistent, i am saying he did fine yesterday. carpenter is not inconsistent.
