By roach, you mean a peice of cardboard, etc crutch right? its weired. in the bay area, CA what you call a "roach" is reffered to as a "crutch" and is almost never used. here in the bay area "roach" means the end or "butt" of a joint with weed still in it (no cardboard). but what i really though was weird was when i went to southern california (about 2 hours away) for a concert and down there, whoever was left with the roach of the joint ended up eating it, they actually LIKED to eat it, it creeped me out.
Yeah, eating it is a bit fucked.

I can understand the reasons for not using a roach [card] cos the weed in the end would be very potent, but using a card roach improves the hits a hell of alot and no wasted weed. also once your done you aint gotta walk home with aload of joint butts stinking out your pocket lol.

Only time i dont use a roach is for blunts, and i seldom smoke them.
