I prefer not to put any other liquid besides water in my bong, otherwise things get sticky, taste horrible and can mold, and the maple syrup thing, that's fuckin awesome! :thumbsup:

I use dry rice in my bong. There was thread going in the Recreational about using dry rice in a bong. The rice absorbs the heat from the hit and doesn't exaclty cool it down like water does, it just gives it a smoother hit. Now I just use rice. No more spilled bong water, smelly bong water, etc...
