    Wind (from fan) noise help

Heya - I'm running a dual spectrum 800W cooltube, and the fan I am using is virtually silent (1.0 sones). I can't hear it running at all in the bloomroom, even with the door open, but the sound of the air moving, exiting the 6" duct exhaust is pretty loud. I am using the accordian like 6 "dryer hose" and have tried wrapping the duct with towels and such - no luck. I'm building a muffler now, but it is not as small as I'd like and I'm worried about decreasing the flow beacuase of restriction.

Anyone else ever have this problem and what did ya do to fix it?

Use A Duct Muffler to reduce noise heard from your ventilation system. It is available in 6", 8" 10" and 12" duct diameter.

    Wind (from fan) noise help

the dryer house is whats making all the noise because of the "ribbing" that prevents it from collapsing

you want a smooth passage way for the air
