    Hi guys

Im curious about outdoor growing methods and strains in alaska. Especially Matanuska tundra a.k.a. Matanuska thunderfuck interests me. I've heard that it originated from matanuska valley..

Does it really flower in alaska, i mean you guys also have midnight sun there in the summer time? And in what month it is ready for harvesting? Does it still grow in the wild? And i've also heard rumours that sagarmathas matanuska tundra has lost its ability to flower as far north as alaska is.. are these rumours true?

i'm asking these things because i live in Finland, and I think that we have quite similar climate and its hard to find productive plants because of short summer and long days. Finlands capital is about 60"N.

    Ignore typos and bad english..

    Hi guys

To pull off a successful outdoor grow you have to really calculate your seasons and always have a backup plan if something goes wrong with the weather or your location. Two summers ago I attempted my first outdoor grow in Anchorage. The trick to getting your plants to bud is to start them inside early enough in the spring so that by the time it is warm enough to move them outside you already have a plant that is ready to veg. Then you can just let them veg outside for 3 months in 18-24 hour days. Thats the easy part. To get my plants to bud- outdoors- i simply moved them into a shady-as-fuck spruce forrest. Spruce forrests are perfect because they block out sunlight while keeping in heat. If you decide to grow outdoors up here my advice to you is-

have a backup grow room to use if your location is not satisfactory
beware of animals- find ways to keep them away

reasons to grow in alaska- plants grow fucking huge in the sunlight
    safer than inside
    cheaper than inside

    Hi guys

I was talking to a guy whose ex wife is an Alaskan. Her trick was to stack up a few car tires and fill them with dirt. Teh black absorbed the warmth of the sunlight and warmed the roots, letting the plants grow outside earlier in the spring than they would be able to otherwise.
