However, some other faiths say that if you don't believe than you are an enemy of the religion and must be executed, so even still.
Now, understand where I'm coming from. I'm not christian, and I personally think every religion is screwy. However, to think less of another person's belief system, or to even call it names is one of the most disrespectful and stupid things you can do. Yes, sometimes the people take it overboard, but that's not the religion's fault. I have NEVER been persecuted because I am not christian, and if you honestly have been then there are organizations that can help you. However, if this is all just smoking from your asshole, then I suggest you learn to hate people for the horrible people they are, not for the stupid beliefs they would die for.graph Reviewed by graph on . if i remember right constantine did a lot of this making christianity as the world religion and COMBINING pagan rituals with christian to create a stable national religion (amalgamation)
....and on and on....but yeah these standard days that are celebrated as "christian" religions are pretty far from it these days.....a lot of christians will just celebrate them anyway without knowing what the symbols mean, trees, easter eggs and such........and i need to stop talking

Hey wonderbear,
Yes, your traditions come from pagans
Not just holidays, look through the bible for any mention of a ??halo? hanging around people??s heads. That image actually came from the Egyptian sun God ??Ra.? You??ll see in older Christian art halos were less like rings and more like suns.
There are other examples.
You are right that Constantine took steps to make Christianity palatable to the pagans he was going to impose it on.
This does not make Christianity a pagan holiday.
It simply reflects the time when Christianity came about. Similarly, because the Bible was first translated into English during feudal times God is referred to as ??Lord? and ??King of Kings.?
You should know your history and embrace it, celebrate these holidays and traditions. They are part of the culture now.

The whole Christian religion is just a pagan copy.
I'm all for religious tolerance (have the coexist sticker on my car, haha); however, I'm also all for religious EDUCATION.
Be aware what you believe.
