Conventional weed wisdom seems to be that saturated fat is better, the thinking being that short-chain fatty acids (saturated fat) are more readily digested than the more complex long-chain fatty acids (mono- & polyunsaturates).

Which is not to say that mono & polyunsaturates won't work - they will - just (theoretically at least) not quite as efficiently.
