    pH levels

Hey, I just finally got my pH meter so now my question is- what is the ideal pH? I'm sure it's on this site somewhere but the search engine won't let you search the word pH... can someone answer my Q or direct me to a thread that talks about pH? Thanks a lot!

soil... I have heard all sortsa ranges, from 6.3-6.8, to 6.5-7.5.... also, I hear that certain pHs promote females to develop rather than males. Has anyone heard that?

6.2 to 6.8 will be safe for most strains grown in dirt.

So would a pH of around 7-7.1 be too high? would it cause harm?

Well it is said that marijuana doesnt like to be in soil that is TOO acidic but it is a plant that is more on the acidic side. So no I dont think 7.0 or 7.1 would hurt but dont let it get too high and definitely dont let it get too low.

thanks, thats kinda what i was thinking- if it is at either extreme its bad but as long as its around the proper range its ok.
