Thanks, guys. I enjoy the mom part and, for that matter, the science part, too. I'm an emtpy-nest mom here, and so I think I exercise that part of myself here now. My own baby no longer needs me. Well, he does, but he just doesn't get that much face time with me while he's away at school, and I try to let him reach out to me when he does instead of vice versa since he's trying to grow up.

Yeah, I realize the crowds will be bigger and stuff, but for some of us it may be the only time for a good while we'll have the chance to go (most likely me, hehe), and the cup just sounds like a wild experience. Obviously I'm up for whenever, but if we don't go to the cup, why not just go to rotterdam instead? I hear it's a lot better than amsterdam.

Id defianately be up for going. Peeps in the UK that are interesed, EasyJet do returns to Schipol Airport for around £60, and another tenner for travel insurance.
