If it's forced-air, you should change the filter, especially since it has been off all summer. If it's just a little furnace, vacuum out any dust that is kicking around otherwise you'll be sneezing!

Ok I rent a top half of a house, and its heated by gas heat. after winter was done with in like april I turned off the heat alltogether, and now i wanna start it up again...I have to go downstairs and ask if I can turn on the piliot light. I shouldn't really have to do anything else should I? should I have kept it running just a little bit all year around? I've just never had gas heat before.... Rating: 5
