awkward situation

so my brother came to visit me last weekend. My brother and I have never gottena along, we are polar opposites and never see eye-to-eye. I'm always jealous of people who have good relationships with thier siblings. anyway, my brother and my friend Steve and I are sitting in my room together. steve asks glenn, my brother, if he ever parties. i was expecting himto say no. (Glenn has always been the wholesome bookworm. never caused any trouble liek I did, never had any girlfriends, always the star child). he surprised me by saying 'yeah I am still hungover from last night". Honestly, I was proud of him. Glenn has always been very shy and unwilling to come out of his shell so it made me happy to know that he has been out and about, having fun.
later that day, i decide to ask him if he wants to smoke a joint with steve and I. how cool would that be, smoking with my brother. it would have been a great way for my brother and i to connect. when i ask him, he kinda turns bright red and soffs at me really loud 'NO!'. how awkwad. the more i think about it the more i am disappointed in him and myself, i feel so awkwarrd. so whats up with that? your opinoins please
