    Hydro = more yield
    Organic = better taste

    However, it's possible to do an organic hydro to get the earthy taste - I'm not sure how though.

    I've also had hydro that tasted pretty damn good before - the grower really knew what he was up to.

    I prefer organic dirt - just because I don't feel like I'm growing a damned science project looking rig with pumps and trays and what not... it just seems to me like organic dirt was the way mother nature intended, and so almost psycho-somatically I feel closer to nature and shit when I'm high.

    Go figure.

    I'm an old dirt farmer, and haven't seen any reason to go with the Dr. Frankenstein Method ...

    ya, dirt is what i was thinking, I knos that hydro lettuce for instance tastes just like water.... and other veggies just don't do well, and since this adventure for me is all about the quality I'm going to stick with what I know.
    I grew a plant from seed recently and did a fabulous job in weeks I had a killer plant just using mr sun and fish emulsion, only prob was it turned out to be a he not a she, so took a little trip to the bean farm, and hopefully I will have a few she's soon. any one tried hashberry???? just got an order into Dr. Chronic, so hope things will turn up good from there

    Ooooh - hashberry. Great choice. Very compact, dense buds. I've seen a hashberry grow before - fits real nice into small spaces.

    Make sure to lower your humidity and watering about 10 days before harvest - I've heard that hashberry gets moldy fairly easy.

    Killer-looking buds though.

    Mmm. Good taste and smell, too. I smoked some of the finished product - it was narcotic as hell after the buzzy onset. Damn I love good indicas.

    Good luck, man.

    hey Reper, or anybody can i get some nute recomendations for soil growing.
    as far as the veg stage goes, I plan to use a composted soil mix so it will probably have plenty of nutes to take it through the veg stage. but what about when i start to flower the little ladies.....

    Well growing in soil can be more forgiving. If you were growing for your own good I'd really recommend doing an organic soil grow. Since you arent trying to produce bud for a vast amount of customers (I dont guess) theres no reason to invest all that money to grow hydroponically. And as for nutes anything with a high Nitrogen and Potassium percentage is good, and for flowering anything with a high Phosphorus and Potassium percentage is good. And you might need micronutrients as well. I hear Ca (Calcium) Mg (Magnesium) and S (Sulfur) are the most important of the micronutrient needs.
