It doesn't look too bad, but do some growing research. That soil don't look the best to me and it looks quite dry, make sure your watering enough and with the right frequency.
I'm assuming you mean watering the seed when you've put it in soil, plant about 1/4 deep and just be careful when you water, doing it slowly so you don't disturb the seed.
