the hungrier your plants are, the faster they are using those nutrients, which mean the more production they are having. you will be stoked on your finished product, it will be smellier, tastier, and stonnyer, (i think thats a word). just water when your plants need it and if they arent getting burned by your feeding rate then you dont have anything to worry about. oh yeah fox farm is organic for the most part but not 100%, i heard alot of good things besides that. whats up with the 24 hours of darkness?

I was under the impression you put your plants into 24 hours of darkness to give the budding hormones a jump start, I have even heard of some doing 48 hours or maybe this is just to re veg?

I am not that worried I guess since I am dam near already budding they are so heavy with pre flowers.

Well its 11/15 45 days after planting exactly. Today we go into bud!
Last night I trimmed out all the extra branches, leaving alone dam near all fan leaves. On 1 plant, the 1 with all the nasty brown leaves, I did trim fan leaves to open her up a bit and see the difference in stunting / growth. Next time I will trim a few days before budding, or a week so I dont stunt and bud same time. But in a pinch here , im going to veg for years at this rate :P

This will end up being 100 - 110 day grow but I hope well worth it.

I will be budding 6 plants under 2000 watts, HP/MH mix. 5 of them in 3 gallon, 1 in a 5 gallon. Wish us luck!!!

Then I could plant those clippings in a month or so?
Bummer...but hey, You can take cuttings now, plant them in rockwool cubes with a little rooting hormone and/or Superthrive, and root them like normal..but cut off all fan leaves...and just leave a little bit of leaf plus the new growth tip. Even the leaves that you leave on can be trimmed. What I mean is cut off like half of the leave (the tips of the serrated fingers). I think I have pics of that on my thread because I did it...hypothetically, of course.

That will keep the plant thin. Then, keep the light as CLOSE as possible to prevent stretching. Then, when they grow a little, top them. That will get them back down...then, maybe a little creative LST, and you can shape them in a way that you want.

Doing all this, you can keep them under 12 x 12 for a month or two. Just keep chopping them up, they will grow back.

There are also ways of preserving clones like you said, baggies...refridgerators...culture slicing...etc. BlueBear has been looking into that stuff so you could discussit with him. I think there might even be a thread on it.

    Good luck on the flowering.

Here...you have more reputation points now.

    Be cool.

    Thanks buddy,

Rubber maid tub, 16 holes, neoprene , dip and grow , anti wilt spray and Hygrozyme! Oh and a little air pump, pumping air thru a sandstone thing..
I am just going to try to do as you said, trim or fim them to keep em really short, Maybe ill do a bonsai hydro project!!!

OHHH and on a plus NOTE.... I will be receiving my actually medical marijuana card later this week it sounds like. If anyone else in NW Oregon has their card and wants to help me celebrate my first big step away from the black market let me know!

Even though I have been legal for 2 months I still depend on the black market for " meds "... Oregon is cool but dam feel sorry for people who cant grow, Goodluck getting the medicine your doctor prescribes.. Oregon NEEDS more caregivers/growers , pack your bags , move on over - and grow for some poor souls!

Here are some other random pictures from tonight.

    Day 2 budding

    Tops,
Top view, Back left corner is " rudy " has always grown like lettuce... I dont see how it can produce bud the growth is so so strange.. 4 tops but so dense with huge fan leaves, some of the leaves were near 9 inches long, those have turned yellow and more or less fallen off by now.

    My BB,
    Nl / bb,
    SS / Snowbud behind it

Here is another picture that gives you an idea of the real color.

With a 1000 watt hps, and 1000 watt MH they turn blue / red depending on what angle the camera is at lol..

Lots of colas shootin up fast now, breaking thru the canopy,l so im stoked - all the veg I left wont be in the way at all.

My NL is still growing just under 3/4 of an inch to just under an inch a day.. The 5 gallon pot kicking in I think. Planning on getting her 4 feet if she wants it

Gonna have to move her to the side a bit and throw my other 600 HPS in a corner. I am running around a 100 watt per square footprint atm so not to worried.
