Growers who've completed atleast one full grow

Ok, this is just a personal poll/question, it's kind of silly but I'd just like to know how others feel about their crops. So...

I was thinking the other day that for me to really enjoy the fruits of my labor, I should abstain from smoking any weed for some time while my plants are either growing and/or just drying/curing. I was thinking that I might not smoke any weed for the entire drying and curing process (I have it set up that I will be curing for exactly 4 weeks, as I am going out of town and will be having my girlfriend do the curing for me).

So my question for you all is:

Do any of you do this? Abstain from smoking for some period of time nearing the end of your harvest to enjoy the fruits of your labor more? Am I completely crazy for thinking of this?

I was considering abstaining from the day I see pistils forming until after the entire curing process, but that just seemed a little excessive.

Anywho...Just a silly question/situation that I was thinking about the other day while stoned. Let me know what you guys think/do!

    Best of luck to all.

you will be blown away by the time its cured, not to mention drooling over it. a month or so without smoke ain't gonna kill you, plus your tolerance will go down (you will get very :stoned: when you start back up) I believe its really worth the wait.

Yes, I know about my tolerance going down, and I know I have the power to go without smoking for a month as I once went 1 full year because I got bored of smoking. I think I'm going to do this. The 4 weeks that I will be gone will be because I am going home from college for winter break. I could easily get weed and smoke it, but I don't think I will.

At most, I will smoke a tiny bit of hash that I am planning on making after the grow is done.

    Anyone else do this?

No...I grow better pot and use better genetics as each growing cycle passes and my ability to produce the finest dank buddage increases. and I still get stoned everytime I light up!

Plus, I'd be climbin' a building with a high powered rifle, if I quit smoking pot...Just kidding. Just having fun. peace goodluck with your trials.

    lol
i tend to not smoke at all during the whole growing process, as i cant afford to buy weed. for the past year or so ive only been smoking after i harvest and i stop once i run out of my own gear.

certainly makes me appreciate the growing process a whole lot more lol

Naw, I don't do that. I've taken many breaks in my life, even breaks spanning years, but I think I'm done with breaks. I'm getting older, and I want all the medicinal benefits (anti-cancer, anti-osteoporosis, anti-Alzheimer's, blah blah). I'd hate to come down with something like that and then wonder, "If I hadn't taken those breaks, would I have gotten this affliction?" So, I'm gonna smoke it up until they plant my corpse in the grave.
