I just read "proof the bible is true" thread, and I couldn't believe the outrage. Why the hostility? Why is it so offensive that you get prayed for? If they are doing it with good intentions why hate on them? I think they are wishing something good on you? A christian repeats the words of God. Don't blame the messenger. You keep saying that we shove it in your face. You guys go out of your way to prove God wrong.

The amount something exists has nothing to do with how much you believe in it. Just like how much I believe in electricity, space, and my couch wouldn't affect their existence.

I understand where you're coming from, I used to be an evangelical born-again Christian. But when I really started thinking for myself and realize there very probably wasn't a God, and that was a long process, I was actually kind of angry. Mad at the Church for lying to me and mad at the general public for supporting me being lied to about even the most basic facts of life.

Hey, Maybe some humans need a God. But if it's required for us to have an imaginary friend to be happy and have something to live for, I wish it were an imaginary friend that were nicer and inspired less judgement & hatred between other faiths. And didn't threaten you with eternal hellfire

yea but humans made it that way. and i dont beleive in him but dont get me wrong... hes a good thing. many people need to beleive in god and if everyone was atheist as i am that doesnt neccesarily mean the world would be better. im sure religion scaring people keeps a lot of bad things from happening.
