This is a difficult Idea for a lot of people, (just death in general) This is what Socrates said on the night before his death, a friend of his came to visit him in ā??jailā? and offered to break him out. He was on trail basically for practicing philosophy.

He said, (not a quote as it was in Latin, just the jist)

When I die I see two options,
The first is that I enter an endless sleep without dreams
The second is that some part of me will continue on with other dead people (heaven)
Neither of these are undesirable
So why should I fear death

And the next day he was put to death.

Remember he died 400 years before Christ and his idea of the after life is so similarā?¦
