See there's a big difference between you guys claiming that there is no proof, and not believing in the testimony that was left of many different men. It's not that we don't have proof, cause there is more than we need. Since alot of different men have left their testimonies of the LORD, the burden is on you to prove them wrong. You guys are calling all the men (and women) who saw Jesus being put to death and then seen him after he resurrected, liars. What proof do you have that they are lying? So it comes down to the believers sharing what happened to them and the accusers having no proof against them. I've heard the lame counter argument many times. Men wrote the bible to put fear in our hearts right? Then why does the gospel bring joy instead of fear?

I often think of this and the other day in the shower in the morning getting ready for work I was again contemplating it again.

How and why does the Universe exist?

More importantly:
The creation of it.

Undoubtly there must be a creator.

How can there be no end to the Universe?

If the universe is as massive and never ending as it seems then god is going to have to look real close to notice us. ; )

as a scientist we have no firm definition for LIFE. we only have several descriptions of the behavior that living things exhibit and if something exhibits enough of these behaviors it may be considered living. eg, growth, reproduction, energy utilization, etc.

God is a human concept, used to make sure people stay in line with assumed social values (no sex before marriage, not getting drunk, etc etc etc). We invented god, not the other way around. What the people who still encourage others to believe in this creature fail to realize is that we don't need a god to be moral.

Who's the better person?

the one who doesn't hurt others because he's afraid of god ?

Who's the moral guy ?
The one who agrees that a murderer who has killed 50 people has the right to be in heaven if a priest forgives his sins, while you should go to hell even if you were a nice person all your life, and your only "sin" was not believing ?

What kind of treacherous god is this ? If he wants people to believe in him, why not just show up ? If he's a benevolent god, why not just create us without the power to do evil ?

Choices, you say ? But if he's an all-knowing being, then he already knows everything you've done, are doing, and will do. So much for free will.

I didn't hear you answer any of the questions at hand?
