Should I keep My Lid off My Water Jug?

I have a 1.5 Gallon Jug that I keep water in mixed with nutrients in etc. This Jug has a lid on it that screws on. It doesn't have a seal or anything but it is tight.

Should I be leaveing the Lid off while the water sits? Or is it fine to have the lid on tight. The water sits for about a week before I go through it all.

    Any help is greatly sppreciated.

    thanks in advance

I do it both ways, some of my gallons sitting around have lids and some don't, I really can't tell the difference. Just be carefull that no one drops something in a gallon with out a lid messing around with it.
    Adieu

Be careful to not leave mixed nutrients around because they can react and change. Just a dilution is probably fine, but say you are using a veg plus a micro, don't mix them until you need them.
