Taking a moderate stance on this one.

I don't like a lot of the elements I see in that act. The habeus corpus issue is pretty shitty. But fuckin prisonplanet never seems to get enough of acting like Americans are jailed every day on the hour for all this stuff. Honestly I'd rather get my news from a used piece of toilet paper. Strangely enough this article was decent.

I have serious doubts that this act will get through without some heavy opposition. Lawyers would love the chance to chew this kind of legislation up and spit it out; ACLU anyone? The Patriot Act didn't even get through it's revision without some serious tune-ups.

Point being: It's worth knowing what the MCA '06 wants to do. But honestly I'm more concerned about the psychos screaming "DEATH TO AMERICA! DEATH TO AMERICA!" than legislation from a president that can't even pronounce Nuclear.
