Make sure you germinate the seeds after the taproot is an inch or so long. If the seed is only cracked, and an extremely small taproot is sticking out of the seed, and you try to plant it, it probably wont grow. And if it does, it'll take about a week and a half, or so, to sprout. Whereas waiting for the seeds to germinate enough to where the taproot is an inch long, should show sprouting results within a few days. Quite possibly, next day.
