For the past 4 months i have been in a band with some of my friends. We all know each other really well and have been friends since elementary. Last Sunday we played in this thing called Battle of the Bands. There were 12 local bands who all played HEAVY metal. We dont really play heavy metal, its more like classic rock/hard rock. Anyways we have played some shows before this and people have told us about how our lead singer sucks... ive been his best friend since like we were in 3rd grade. But the past couple of years hes been a dick. Alot of people dont like him. So at battle of the bands we played and my mom heard people in the audience saying the the MUSIC kicks ass, but the SINGER sucks. We now realize that he can no longer be our lead singer if we want to keep playing together. So tommorrow at band practice we are going to tell him what we heard from people and tell him what we think. I was thinking we can tell him to play either bass or rythem guitar. if he wants to play rythem guitar i will go to bass cuz i play rythem guitar.

How do u guys think we should break the news to him?

And what do u think we should do about the problem?
