Noob first grow advice

Hi everyone, new to this board and just attempting first grow.

Only thing im a bit concerned about is the heat lamps, im using 2 400wt bulbs and have completely blacked out the grow room, which is downstairs, so no light escaping but as i said, whats the chances of the heat being detected and any tips?

Throw the heat lamps away. Get some compact fluorescents or an HID bulb (either high pressure sodium or metal halide). Also, go to the grow faqs section.
