Those are hydroton pebbles. Puffed clay.


1. Provides a medium for the roots to grow in. (In hydro.)

2. Helps maintain a good air/water ratio.

3.Slows evaporation of water.

4. Prevents mold.

5. Probably other stuff I can't think of. I'm high too.
