But to the original poster...I am not stoned right now, so am clear thinking... I have a job that allows me to feed myself and my family, keep shelter over our heads, keep weed in my tin...yadda yadda. I don't work 9-5, nor do I do the same thing everyday. Maybe I am one of the exceptions? I just think I saw what my father did every single day as long as I lived in their home, and I KNEW I didn't want that for me. Took me a while to get to where I am, and I prolly won't be here for too much longer...but I am enjoying it.

for a long time I wondered why humanity couldnt just get it together and get over its prejudices like race, gender, social status, religion, etc, and work together as a whole. They created all these meaningless distinctions and lived as if they actually meant everything. I wondered why "they" didnt get it.
And then I realised I was making the same mistake.

The concept of this being a phase would only make what he says true.

Being that this is something that constantly pops up in all people....all people GO through this, all see it, and just like a test some fails and prove to have a smaller amount of internal integrity and change and soon that self close to the self is gone and the common self appears.

This is not the result of maturity, it's disintegration into society.

You're not becoming something, you're simply losing that only thing you've truly ever had, being your unique qualities and beliefs. You lose that, and you've got nothing.

SO what makes you think you're any different. The most effective forms of control are those put on you without you realizing it. What makes you think you're so divorced from society? How old are you, I'll bet you're a teenager. Anyway, their are two types of people that I hate. Those to far conained in society, and those who are to far removed from it. Society as we know it, while far from perfect, is the product of thousands of years of civilization and is the best method of existance we have. Personally, I tend to lean outside of society but I've still got a toe in on the otherside so that if I want to, I can get a job and have a "normal" life. I'll stop rambling now. I am so very stoned.

We are all different, the only way you could possible make yourself to believe that you are not is by telling yourself and others this repeatedly...just as you've done here. Our society is the weakest yet to evolve in it's current state, if we do not advance we will become extinct. Essentially..throwing our old and primitive society out is the only thing that's going to keep us alive in the change. Having one foot in society and one foot out would just mean you're confused, part of evolving is moving away from the past and becoming something new...staying the same? Working backwards...holding on...sounds like you're going through a phase of living by fear and limitation. Soon we will all get over this.

Teen rebellion is childish and causes pain. It is a by-product from an internal causation. The cause is something within the being, the dna, the psyche whatever. But rebelling would be by product.

A fish doesn't flop around out of water because it's angry! Because it can't breathe!

In the end it comes down to whether you are more attached to society or the Earth. Society being artificial and the Earth being natural.

I know how you feel SkatePopwar. I think similarly to you but less superior. If people continue to cherish their beloved society then it doesn't bother me. I simply would rather be in touch with true reality. My real beef with society is that it is ruining the Earth.

That's good, you've actually come to the conclusion most teenagers have.

Now become a man, and realize that in order to survive, you have to run the rat race, unless you want to live in the woods the rest of your life. We all have to play the game, it's the way it works.

I agree with inferius, most of us as teenagers came to that conclusion. You're not any different, just realizing how messed up things can get. The thing is, though. your work and your social class aren't you. Be the things you love, your life, your family, your friends, your love, never let those get in the way of unimportant things like money and your career.

blegh, you guys can call it a phase. but i really dont think im going to outgrow this mindset..i mean, i dont have much of a choice. how much longer can we go on living like this until it all collapses? its only a matter of time, we are killing ourselves and we dont even realise it! this isnt really life that we live, so many people spend so much of their lives up to their ears in self-deception, and when your decieving yourself about the reality you live in you cant even begin to live life freely.
we are advancing so fast that its dangerous. with so much deadly techology, and sick people in the world, were really walking on thin ice now.

Please, feel the need to prepare yourself for the events that are to come.

And no this isn't a phase, this is a result of being a certain way, having a DNA potential.

The phase you all are talking about is an indirect result of this.

Be it, you become unmotivated, be it you wish to rebel against society, be it whatever.

Those are incorrect ways of expressing this intuition.

People have this for a reason.

It's like saying you walk into a room and see a dead body on the floor, two guys with guns pointed at you, 12 bombs in the corner and a the whole place is on fire.

You go to one guy and say, "Man, I need to get out of here, or do something about it quick we're not going to make it."

And he says, "Nahh, man just relax, that's just a phase, soon you'll get out of it."

He is correct. But do not be tricked, getting out of this "phase" is called accepting delusion, it's insanity. Nothing less.

Look at the planet, look at our history (what hasn't been erased or altered), a change is coming.
