i've been helping a friend of mine build his grow room.in the space he had to work with he ended up with a room 3'x4'x52"tall.this is the flowering chamber. he's using a 400 watt HPS.we did it up right with mylar ,good ventilation and such. He's going to clone in a slightly smaller cabinet with 4' flourescents (6) tubes. realistically, growing the old fashioned way in soil and no special techniques otherwise....how many plants could he flower at one time? he will be using Northern Lights like i am in mine.i told him that i would think no more than 9 plants maturing in the flower room at one time.we've never tried Northern Lights before and have no idea of what type of yield to expect.anyone that can shed some light on this will be greatly appreciated.

well, figuring Northern Lights will want to grow about 30"-36" tall, and you will need 18"-30" clearance between the 400-watt lamp and the plants, plus room for the lamp housing and reflector, ... you are really cutting it close, as far as cabinet height goes ... you will do yourself, and the plants, a BIG favor, if you add a couple feet in height ... :smokin:
