which is which? i'll buy some labels next time...

Hi, this may sound a bit silly but I have a question. Iâ??ve currently got three stains growing â??top44, skunk#1 and big bud. Iâ??m a newbie and the plants are 5 weeks into flowering uner 600w hps. Unfortunately I didnâ??t label the pots and after moving them about Iâ??m lost to which is which! Iâ??d like to know this as some definitely have some prefered traits and I may like to grow them again. Has anyone got experience with these strains? From what I can tell there is two different phenotypes;

Phenotype#1
Sweet fruity smell. Very dark green leaves, with thin fingers like a sativa. Not to densly leaved and very sticky. These plants buds are starting to go brown now (5 weeks)

Phenotype#2
Light Green leaves with broad fingers. Quite densely leaved. Buds are quite rancid smelling, pistils are still white and buds are still quite small. These plants are tall and are growing upward faster than Iâ??d like!

Iâ??ll post some pics in a few days when I get hold of a digicamera. Any help is appreciated!

besides obvious differences between indicas and sativas, there is virtually no way to identify most strains from each other ... there are a few strains with an unusual color, or scent, but no REAL way of knowing, most of the time ... certainly not going to identify with nothing more than a photo, to go by ... next time, label ... I just use a piece of duct tape on the pot, and write with a marker pen, no big deal ... :smokin:

what he said . im a cheap ass too , duct tape or masking tape . lol.
guessing once it's done is always fun too . see if the qualities claimed by the breeder are really dominant enuf that you really can tell the diff. after curing properly .
