A quick soil question..

Is it okay for me to use top soil, or does it have to be potting soil.. Does anyone kno the differences or disadvantages?

hey there brother erm i duno what top soil is.. i wouls go with the potting soil put some perlite in and your away.. but for adult plants go with somthin like bio bizz all mix.. its 100%organic worm castings perlite specialy fermented soil good stuff.. i would even go with bio bizz light mix for seedlings/clones.. even high times had a very praising review on bio bizz soil.. :thumbsup:

Get some good poting soil mix like fox farms warrior or happy frog or fafard has some good soiless mix friend of mine used some local store bought soil and had nothin but problems

Top soil is not recommeded for containers. It is much heavier and for outdoor use. Potting soil is the way to go. Whatever you decide to mix, just make sure it drains well.

Alright thanks so much for the responses, another forum said it was okay but I seem to get the more reliable answers here. So hopefully by the time my clone shows up I will have gotten this soil, Does it have to be boughten at a grow shop or will some of these pre-mixed soils be available at stores like home depot and rona?

well im sure you can get decent soil at home deport n such stores.. but the advantage of buyin your soil from a frow store is they sell more specefied soil mixes for growing cannabis such as fox farm or bio bizz or the canna range... i pay £12.50 which is i think about$ 20 us dollers for 50 litres of top quality soil .. quality soil= healthy plants.. buts the choice is yours:thumbsup:

I noticed your from canada, i use a product from sungro.com called metro mix 360.They have all sorts of different mixes and will even custom make 1 if need be.Go to there website and look for a retailer by you.

I couldnt find the store locator button, but I did see a soil that I would like to use.

Is Black gold All organic any good for a clone to full maturity? If not could someone recommend me a good soil for this purpose?
