How Long Are Clones Sensitive To Light?
.
I have 3 44 Top http://www.buydutchseeds.com/product...products_id=54 clones under a 250 HPS. The temperatre is around 26-28C, a lÃ*ttle dry though, so I've been misting as much as I can. Now, I thought I was being clever after repotting them the first day, to keep them on the outskirts of the lit area, which worked out well. But on the second and third day, I fear I was a little too bold and 2 of them suffered minor burn spots from misting.
How long will they be sensitive to light?

You should introduce them to stronger light over the course of a week or two. Every day lower the lights until it is at optimum distance. Also, your temps are too high. Lower them if possible.

Yeah, I've moved them to the outskirts wÃ*th the door wide open, so it's less light and about 22C.
Guess I'll just track their movement from there.
Week or two? Thanks for the reply.
The ones I grew from seed were much robuster right off the mark, but some difference is to be expected, I suppose.

Remember my set up? the plants were in shock for about ten days and then they shot up almost an inch a day and are still flourishing. i kept mine under two 1000w which is way more energy then they needed but its showing big time.

Yeah, lol. Mine are still a little frail, but the top growth is all green and healthy. Man, they shock quite a lot there. I was stupid enough to repot two of them and just flushed the hell out of the third, I think the soil may have been too acidy too, and the flushed, third one has taken the lead.
I'm giving them a couple of hours a pop under the lamp now, then moving them away to rest.
Someone should do a guide on lighting and other conditions for cloning. I think all I've ever read on the subject is how to remove clones and keep them alive, but not much on the rather delicate process of their first weeks in the pot.

Ahhh, they've picked up today like nobodys business, lot's of lush, new growth.
Left them out for the whole night about a meter away from the 250 HPS, about 23C, thought I might be risking it, but they've spurted up today. So they're going to spend their first day right under the bulb.
Recieved them Thur, they began growing on the Thur, 7 days later.
Around 3-5th day, they were looking very sad, I did burn them though on the second day, good lesson learned there.
And we're off!
Now to quickly build the new 2*2sqm room and buy a bunch of CFL's!

How Long Are Clones Sensitive To Light?
to knowm, as you know, i burnt 8 of my clones, colour is coming back, and i'm pretty sure they have roots. should i give them some cool light, or give them a few days?
to faithless, i have 8 clones that i light burned with cfl's being too close before they rooted. after putting them in shade, they have turned around and are starting to come back from near death. if you have bad light shock probs, maybe you can put them in shade for a few days.
speaking only from experience, i hope this helps.
love brooke
