OK, Ive searched on the net, been smoking for about 2 years now, and my mom seems to think that since im young and learning going to school and my brain is "developing". Therefore, marijauna will "morph" my brain lol


I dont beleive in this whatsoever but she does, and I need some concrete proof/facts possibly links to sites??

ive been smoking my whole high school career, like its my job.... and im very good at what i do

ive been able to maintain a straight A-B average. my GPA is about a 3.8 which im proud of.

Smoking doesnt kill braincells or make people stupid, a person is a person, who they are isnt affected by how much they smoke, they choose to make decisions and those decisions have consequences. could be wrong though : / just my thoughts

All I'm asking is that you use responsibly! Some good sites for looking for MMJ studies is ccicnewsletter.com and marijuana.researchtoday.net Another way is to do a search on your subject (try for example- neuroprotection) along with cannabis abstract. This will get you a fairly high number of scientific studies on cannabis. Neuroprotection incidentally means "protects the nerves"-your brain is a mass of nerves. Approach you Mom with your collected studies and be calm and mature in your presentation. If your Mom (or grandparents) have any illnesses do the search for it, the way I told you (cancer cannabis abstract). The news about Alzheimer's is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to MMJ. Incidentally, I got my A.S. degree in college, graduated with honors (3.76 GPA) while holding down 2 parttime jobs while I was in my early 50s! I was stoned the whole way through it. ummm... don't be ridiculous.. of course it kills you... burning shit and inhaling the fumes damges the entire BODY... fuck scientific eveidence.. this is just a basic known if you you have less than 1% of self awareness..

NOw I do understand that at 16 years old you can smoke and be ok.....

But just wait..... or hang out with some 50 year old stoners or smokers... who have been smoking since they were 16.... and then compare them to somebody who did not smoke....

I am 48 yo and have been a chronic case off and on since my teens. I was diagnosed with what was called a learning disability (now ADD/ADHD)But that was well before I ever picked up a joint. I guess what I am trying to express is that you can't make generalizations. Actually as a nurse who detoxes alcoholics on a regular basis I'd have to say that booze kills a fuck of alot more neurons than ganja ever will.
