studio apartment... need help with setup

After successfully growing shrooms for several years I am considering
finally growin some mj but I have several questions regarding vetilation
    and such.

Here is my situation I am living in a studio apt so everything is in one
kinda big room. I don't really have the means or tools to build a nice
cab so I was planning on buying the mini hydro hut which is 3x3x6, and
running a 400 watt hps in a cool tube. if anyone can reccomend something
that's prebuilt that would be a little more stealth than a big tent I am
    definitely open for suggestions.

Really the main thing I have queations about is the fan and
    ventillation.

First off what size of fan would I need to cool a 400 watt hps? And how
loud are these things? Like I said my apt is more or less just one big
room so I am going to need something that is as quiet as possible.

I'm unclear where the fan should be mounted as well... should it be
mounted inside the tent or outside and where should the carbon scrubber
    be mounted/located?

The main problem I see is ventillation, I have no idea where I'm going
to run the exhaust. I don't have an attic or a dryer vent I can hook
the exhaust to so as far as I can tell I'm gonna be stuck just venting
it into the open room so a carbon scrubber will be a must. If it wasn't
so cold out now I could vent it out a window but since winter is
approaching that really isn't an option.

The ventillation issue is really what's keeping me from this taking off
I'm just real worried about that.

Anyway any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi seedlessceo
You are going to need three fans. One small fan 6" or 8" to circulate the air inside the tent. The second fan to draw air through the light and out of the
tent. The third fan is for the carbon scrubber. If you can set the tent in the corner of the room near a window would be the best. The first fan can draw fresh air into the tent and circulate it too.Place it in front of the vent in the tent.Fan for the light can draw air from the room or from the window to cool the light and exhaust into the room or out the window. You say its' getting to be winter,it can help heat the room also. The carbon scrubber fan is on the out side of the tent.Drawing air from the tent into the scrubber and out into the room.Circulateing fan you can get at wally mart or any box store. The fan for the light I do and would use a can fan{vortex fans}plantlightinghydroponics.com has the best price on vortex fans.A 4" fan for the light.A 6" can fan for the scrubber you dont want any sticky air coming from the tent.I do know the 6" can fan has a 49DP noise level, which is low in noise.
Are you using soil or hydroponics? Hope This will help and good luck.

just wondering what amount of plants you are looking at growing. probaly not too many less than 8? I have an apartemtn grow and we vent right into our bedroom, the biggest problem is that it is rather warm in there a lot of the time. To problems with smell during veg, and if you get a good filter you shouldn't see any problems in flowering. did you ever consider converting a old dresser into a grow cab? if you get a big one it could work out quite nicely and it dosn't look suspicious at all. (unless someone trys to open it)

400W with a cool tube should take care of all your heat problems, it is really the best way to go.
