I've used vinegar in the past, best to get something where it states on the bottle the percentage and type of acid. Acetic acid at 4.5% is the one I've used in the past.

I always used it in the feed water, like 10ml per litre. If you have a large adjustment to make you should do it over a few days rather than all at once.

Always go VERY SLOWLY and use a decent PH meter. Take readings an hour or so after mixing with the water.

You can use standard food grade white vinegar, about 6 fluid ounces, per 4 gallons of tap water, to lower pH. But this is just for temporary fix. It won't last long unless you keep applying it.

There are many alternatives for lowering Ph like garden sulphur and iron sulphate.

vinegar will work but the ph will fluctuat more wuicky than if you use a ome real hydro ph down, real deal ph down will give you emidiate results too, you use less of it, and it dont cost that much just bu y the real shit
