Film outline...first draft, bare plot minimum: read

Though, and this is just my opinion, I think you shouldnt portray 'Christianity' as evil, just hypocrit conservative bullshit christianity that has invaded our Government, or I guess our government is manipulating simple minded Christians. Its almost a little offending to me, and youd have a bigger audience if you made the distinction. Like add Jesus as a character, helping them rescue thier friend and smoking weed. Jesus could have his own ultra 'Holy Chronic' he gives them or somthing. The anointing oils Jesus used had cannabis in em, so Christianity does approve of weed when it comes down to it, but no one realizes it...

I didn't mean at all to imply I had anything against Christianity as a principle. I only meant to express my strong dislike for, as you said, hypocrit conservative bullshit Christianity, that wages war against us stoners.

Hmm, odd, everyone else seems to like it. We have two possibilities here: one, they're all delusional and you know better than them. Two, you're a dickhead. The latter sounds more appealing.

Yea, dont let the critics get to you. I will admit it though, it's no citizen kane. More along the lines of white chicks as far as quality. BUT, I think you've got a real cult classic on your hands. If you could find a way to put some mroe strange and original ideas into it shot it with a unique style, it could be a very entertaining movie. But keep writing. The more you do it the better you get at it. It's all about telling a good story. I'm writing a book right now and it's just gotten so bizarre. But I like bizzare books so I guess it's only fitting. You wright in a different style than me though. I only very loosly build a plot line and focus more on devloping interesting characters. I've got 2 pages worth of backstory on almost every character I make up. I think it's more fun to put two characters together and see what happens.

That's a decent idea. Ever seen How High? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0278488/). High quality it is.

Do you have a background in photography/cinematography? I can see a few ways this could end up, a decent movie shot on a $500 miniDV camera and posted on youtube, or a joke that no one thinks is funny, or a decent first run project.

By no means am I trying to be mean, but even with a great script (your plotline has potential) you can end up with a steaming pile of shit. The thing about drugs and comedy is that you usually end up with some hippie-looking fellow who looks captivated by his hands and keeps saying "whoa man".

I highly reccomend you see "Requiem for a Dream", a highly excellent movie about drugs and how they ultimately tear everyone in the movie apart. It's mostly about heroin, and (spoiler warning) it leads to one kid being arrested miles from home, being called a "dopefiend nigger" at his new prison, one kid losing his left arm and then being jailed, arm-lost-kid's girlfriend sucking dick for drugs and then putting on a big lesbian sex show for more drugs, arm-kid's grandma being hospitalized because she was taking speed to loose weight

It's a drama, but the cinematography is amazing as Aronofsky's always is, and might give you some good ideas.

As for getting money to film it, that's always the hard part, but I strongly suggest you offer torrents of it for free, but ask people to donate or buy the dvd with a nice case and poster or whatever for like $25 or something.

Anyways, good luck with that, and if you need some help with anything, I'm sure the collective knowledge of this site won't let you down

Hey, I'm back, and I've been writing the actual dialogue and stuff....I've abandoned the whole war thing, it's just on a more personal level now. It's coming along nicely; much better than the outline, that was kinda corny.
