Smarter when high...

I think thoughts come easier when high, you just have to really pounce on them because the mind becomes so chaotic once the weed lets your mind go full-boar.

In my opinion, THC unlocks your brain's full potential. It lets you use ALL of your brain at once. The trouble is that we experience it so rarely, it seems like chaos. I mean, any time you truly focus on getting something done when you're high, you'll do it and you will probably do it better than you could have sober. Just take t3chyo's example. He couldn't beat a part on half-life 2, so he got blazed and put his mind to it, and it worked! Amazing, eh?

I'm so much better at video games when I'm high. Like on Fight Night Round 3 I can see punches coming and block when fucking lit. I can't block worth a fuck sober, but a few good rips from a bong and its lights out bitches.

Well, I think it all depends on the circumstances and on your mood. Weed does make you think of stuff that you wouldn't normally think, and with rationality and articulation. Weed has a great intellectual potential, the trick to it is to know how to use it.

From what I've experienced, weed only cracks open those 'doors' in our minds, if that. You need something stronger to really open them. THC is a godsend, yes, but it's power is NOTHING for our minds like a dose of LSD.

it wouldnt prove his point, but its an example non-the less. I really couldnt grasp getting past the part which involed a decent amount of strategy. Smoked, and my mind just put the puzzle together, It was an experience to have my mind to be able to play out the whole scenario and see that it would actually work.

cannabis for me slows down my already racing mind to be able to grasp onto what I need and to be able to execute it smoothly. I was trying to put back a liter flint(little cynlinder shape rod that creates a spark when metal rubs on)sober, couldnt do it, i gave it up to easy. Smoked some dank, executed it smoothly, almost too smoothly:thumbsup:

personally though sober is the way to be for exucting everyday life scenarios, but to sit down and think while high is a whole other ball game.

nah, but i do get more accomplished if i do housework when i'm stoned then if i'm sober, and work more effectively, play games more effectivly etc. etc.

also i have this weird problem where i go through periods (even weeks or over a month long) where food disgusts me and i just can't force myself to eat anything (but also i won't have weed at the time) but if i smoke weed durring one of these periods i can eat and eat and eat and store it away for later.... i know most just think of that as the munchies, but when you actually have some weird psychological eating disorder, it's one more thing it helps me with.

Honestly, I've found good insight before while under the spell of cannabis.

There have been numerous times where I've been working on something all day and get stuck somewhere, then blaze up and solve the problem. To me, it just helps you think outside of the box. I've written stoned papers for college before and would do better on them than if I was sober. I once got a compliment from a professor saying that this one paper (that I wrote completely stoned) was extremely good; when compared to my other papers from the class, it scored significantly higher than most of my other papers. Looks like the feds are wrong again about marijuana's apparent effects on learning capabilities.

i dont know about all of you people but the higher i get the more retarded i get. for example im terrible at following directions, in photography class there are so many steps to developing and enlarging and all that shit and i fucked up and exposed my photo paper under the light and everything came out jet black when i developed.

and when i try and say whats on my mind i might as well be speaking some other language. i cant make sense of what im thinking about. one time i was trippin on shrooms and i seriously thought i was speaking jibberish, i would think, ok just ask my tripping buddy if im making any sense, itll be easy just say the words. then they would come out and i wouldnt even understand myself, so i just sat there watching resevoir dogs really quiet

I had the "retarded" effect, too, sadly. Accomplishing intellectual tasks like writing a comprehensible sentence or doing simple math or even organizing bills was next to impossible when I was baked, or even just buzzed. But I did notice a sort of increased creativity at the same time. Got several great ideas for inventions, recipes and even two ideas for books while under the influence. I just couldn't have actually executed those ideas till sober again.

I find that the key is to be high and not stoned. If Iâ??m stoned Iâ??ll sit and watch the bar on my media player moveâ?¦ha ha. Itâ??s hard to do your work on a computer when youâ??re stoned because that damned internet keeps calling you away. But if you're just high than you can keep yourself to task better. Some of my best papers I wrote while I was high. I even had one of my professors ask me if he could use one of my papers as an example for when he teaches the class again. I just grinned and said sure. It kind of made me giggle inside. I also had a ritual of breaking up bud for a joint on finished papers before I handed them in. Just my little way of saying fuck you to â??the manâ?�â?¦ha ha.

It does help me to think more abstractly. But I think what I gain in creativity I loose in motivation. Itâ??s a fine line.
