    hermie pollen help!

I have a great little grow box perfect for one or two plants. My first try brought me a beautiful girl. My second try I was so excited to see was also a girl, as this was a fine rare seed I had used. It was looking a bit different and my dumb ass was a bit too late to figure out it was a hermie that had already released it's pollen, afetr I returned from a long weekend out of town. My question is this: Is my box contaminated with this pollen. I read somewhere it will hang around and can pollinate the next girl. If this is true, how do I clean my box properly to rid it of this pollen. I do have a ventilation system, is the whole room contaminated? Any advice is greatly appreciated

    hermie pollen help!

Well, I took down my hermie plant. After reading some of the threads here, I feel like I should have hung in awhile and gotten as many seeds as I could have. I ended up with about 40, instead of about 500! I do not know how quickly the seeds can be used, but I have four in water to see if they sprout. I had many problems with chlorosis this past time. I feel like my baby must have turned hermi from stress. I think I started off with the worst possible soil to begin with. It was miracle grow moisture control, and the soil did not drain well. I am in a remote location and do not have many choices available. I have not been able to find perlite or vermiculite locally. When I tried to fix my chlorosis troubles, I used small amounts of epsom salt in the water and when that did not help I bought a potassium supplement from the market and crushed some up and dissolved it in the water and this seemed to help. I did keep what part of the beggining buds their were. Better than nothing. I have a small area. I have a height of 2 1/2 feet from the top of the soil to the lights with 12" in diameter. 2~400W HPS with a reflective screen. In other words when something goes wrong, all is lost and I am a sad little stoner.
