First Experience - I don't think I was high...

Hello, I recently had my first experience smoking weed and I don't think I was affected. Many people say you don't feel it on your first time (or second, or even third), but my cousin who I smoked with said I must have been high because of the amount we smoked.

Within a few hours, I shared a blunt with two others, shared a double-rolled joint with three others and did about 8 bong rips... does that sound like a lot? Should I have been high from that?

The people there were saying that I probably felt it but didn't know because I was looking for it... but I mean, I've been drunk before and I know when I feel that, and those same people tell me getting high is just as much of an experience as being drunk.

So what do you think? Should I have felt it or is there a decent chance that I just felt nothing? Thanks.

Well as long as you arent exaggerating the 8 bong rips and the blunt and joint. The 8 bong rips should of been enough by itself to get yourself high. And yea you probaly dont know what your lookin for. My only advice is... Do it again! And again! And then see what happens =). Just dont concentrate on it just smoke and see where it takes you.

By the way, from your experience, do you find that getting high gets easier as you smoke more and more or do you build a tolerance?

Well at first its easy as hell to get stoned. One hitter quitter as they always say. You really dont start to build a tollerance for a while. Unless you start off smokin every day.

Wow. 8 Bong rips for your first time and you didnt get high? Maybe...you werent smokin it right? 8 man, that should have set you straight lol. Keep tryin man.

Yeah, I don't understand it... I must have been inhaling because with the bong I was taking in way too much smoke too be holding it all in my mouth or something. I could feel the burning in my chest. Maybe I didn't take the hits as fully as I should have. I would have to say I exhaled pretty quickly, maybe around 5-6 seconds after I inhaled, but regardless, I really felt nothing. I'd say that if I was high that night then I see no reason to get high... so I'll give all the tokers the benefit of the doubt and say I didn't feel what you all know and love.

No, now I know you didnt get high because your body was new to marijuana . Your suppose to hold the smoke in, but for no longer than 3 seconds. If you got a big hit (but not too big of a hit) I dont think it'd hurt to hold it in for just a little longer just keep doing the same you were doing before until you finally feel different.
