If you grow one imaginary plant that you don't tell anyone about, and grow it in a confined space and control the odor, not only will nobody care much about it, nobody will know about it either. If you're concerned about getting caught, you have to be careful, and definitely don't grow to sell or distribute to anyone anywhere in any way. Should be fine then, there's lots of other more important things that the law enforcement has to be concerned about.
