every dealer i've ever met was by face to face introductions because of mutual friends (i.e. my mates were customers), my main one who lives just up the street from me i met after a friend at work (my supervisor no less) told me that her dealer just lives up the road at "??????? house number"....

so i went round, told my name and said i was a friend of ????? and asked if she'd be able to supply me on a regular basis, me and my mate (who did exactly same thing) have been her best customers ever since.
