Three of four PC fans failed last night
So I've got, or had, three little PC fans in my grow box, one bringing air in, two circulating air, and one exhaust. All but the one bringing the air in got gummed up and stopped last night, I guess they were getting slower for awhile. Since the one bring the air in is mostly fine, does this have something to do with something that the plant produces? I just have one very small plant that is trying to finish up flowering, although now I had to remove most of the lights because there's a heat issue with almost no fans.

Hey phytokind sorry this is such a late reply but better late then never right?.Id say that the exaust PC fans gumming up definatly has something to do with plant. There could be alot of resin stuck in those fans, especially if it is a smaller growbox, and is the plant close to the exaust fan?. PC fans will tend to clog deciently easily if used as an exaust. check the fan out and maby try cleaning the blades with alcohol if you can. Lemme know how it goes

Thanks for the reply, I tried cleaning the fans but it didn't help, but I ended up putting together a much better fan, it's one of those $20 Hamilton Beach Trueair carbon filter fan deals. I ripped off the front screen faceplate and taped a plastic square bowl to it, cut a hole in the bowl and attached a PVC pipe with more tape, and it sucks the air through the pipe into the grow box, and is very very quiet. I actually have two good horticultural fans but they're just too noisy, and probably too powerful for my one plant space anyway.
